ZIMMERMAN -- A Zimmerman man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting another man earlier this week.

Twenty-seven-year-old Ulysses Chase is accused of threatening a man with a handgun after being confronted about missing property on Monday night.

Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott says Chase fled on foot when deputies arrived and was not found during a search of the area.

Investigators then used a search warrant at Chase's home where they found a large amount of what is believed to be stolen property.

On Tuesday, deputies received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle near the scene of the alleged assault.

Chase was found inside the vehicle and arrested after a pursuit on foot. He was taken to Sherburne County Jail for 2nd degree assault and is awaiting arraignment.
