Supreme Court Holds Hearing at Champlin Park High

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - The Minnesota Supreme Court will hear oral arguments at Champlin Park High School as part of its outreach program to build the public trust in the judicial system.

The court will convene at the school at 9 a.m. Monday to hear arguments in the case of a man who was found with methamphetamine in his vehicle in 2003.

The appeal deals with whether authorities have legal grounds to seize the man's vehicle and cash through forfeiture.

Monday's oral arguments will be followed by a question-and-answer session. Other students from the Anoka-Hennepin School District will also attend, and the arguments will be broadcast live online for community members.

The Supreme Court has been hearing oral arguments in schools since 1995.
