ST. CLOUD - Summertime By George kicks off tonight at 5:00 p.m. The opening band is Minneapolis-based Going to the Sun. The band combines acoustic folk instrumentation with electronic synth programming. Last year they released their debut self titled album "Going to the Sun".

At 6:30 p.m. Chicago tribute band Transit Authority will take the stage. They have played multiple years at Summertime By George, and drummer Tim Ellis says the band looks forward to this concert every year.

Summertime by Lake George is one of our favorite venues. It's a wonderful stage, the people are awesome, the venue is great, all the sponsors and people who put it on are wonderful. We really look forward to the show because it's a great show. The energy level is amazing. We are looking forward to opening up the whole event with our performance. The crowd brings on an energy to us that reflects right back to them so it's always been a really great show for us.

Summertime by George will also feature the Middle Town Market, Eastman Tavern, and Little Georgetown. The Pantowners Car Show will also be on hand for everyone's enjoyment.
