Summer Youth Pass Ridership Numbers 2nd Highest in Program’s History

ST. CLOUD -- It was a good year for Metro Bus' Summer Youth Pass program.

Director of Planning and Marketing, Tom Cruikshank says it was the second highest ridership numbers since they started offering free summer rides to kids in 2005.

Cruikshank says the three-month total topped out at 58,000 rides, second only to 2008 when it was 60,000.

He says the good numbers may be a result of their family training program and KidStop using the fixed routes for their summer activities.

Metro Bus offers the free youth passes in June, July and August.
