EDINA, Minn. (AP) - A woman has died in a house fire in a Twin Cities suburb. Authorities say the woman's husband managed to escape from a second-story window.

Fire officials say the blaze broke out about 1 a.m. Tuesday at the Edina home. Relatives say the couple had lived in the home for about 30 years.

Family members identify the woman as 74-year-old Anita Delegard. Niece Kirsten Delegard says her uncle, Duane, suffered some smoke inhalation, but was not seriously injured.

Assistant Fire Chief Darrell Todd tells the Star Tribune the blaze was consuming the basement and first-floor level when firefighters arrived and they could not enter the home.
