ST. JOSEPH/COLLEGEVILLE -- Student enrollment for the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University have remained high.

St. Ben's and St. John's have combined for 3,860 first-year to senior students from 38 states and 30 countries.

St. Ben's enrollment this fall is 2,012 students and Undergraduate enrollment at St. John's total 1,848.

New student enrollment combined for 1,035 first-year students (St. Ben's enrolled 538 students and St. John's 497) from 27 states and 15 countries.

The academic profile (GPA, ACT score and class standing) of the new class is identical to last year and is more racially and ethnically diverse.

Overall retention of continuing students remained very high. Retention from the first year to the second year totaled 87 percent, a rate that continues to rank among the highest in the country.
