Stephen “Jerry” J. Phillippi, 66, Avon formerly of Minneapolis

March 2, 1950 - June 13, 2016

Memorial services will be 11:00AM Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Williams Dingmann Funeral Home in St. Cloud for Jerry Phillippi who died Monday at the St. Cloud Hospital. The Rev. Gerald Dalseth will officiate and burial will be at a later date in Huron, SD. Visitation will be from 9-11AM Friday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Jerry was born in Huron, SD to Stanley W. Sr. & Celesia (Murphy) Phillippi. He grew up and graduated from High School in Clark, SD. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Jerry worked at the VA Hospital in St. Cloud and then moved to Minneapolis and worked at Golden Living in Hopkins for over 30 years, retiring in December of 2015. Jerry’s care and compassion showed in his genuine love and concern for the patients under his care; their families often contacting him personally after their loss. Music of the 50’s and old cars were his passion and his love of eagles surely gave him his ride to heaven.

Survivors include his brothers and sister, Stanley W. Jr. of Huron, SD; Patrick (Pam) of St. Stephen; Kay (Wayne) Dingman of Avon; dear friend, Marlys; and many nieces and nephews who he adored.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert F. Phillippi.
