ST. CLOUD -- Stearns County has narrowed its list of candidates for County Administrator to four. There were 24 initial applicants. Nine of those candidates received interviews, with the panel recommending four candidates advance as finalists.

The finalists are Goodhue County Administrator Scott Arneson, Stearns County Assistant to County Administrator Steve Hammes, Crow Wing County Administrator Timothy Houle and St. Cloud City Administrator Mike Williams.

The finalists will now do a leadership assessment through an outside firm and the board of commissioners will conduct final interviews Monday, May 2nd.

Stearns County is hiring a new administrator to replace George Rindelaub who retired after 28 years in that role.
