Stearns County To Extend Contract With Interim Human Services Administrator

ST. CLOUD -- The Stearns County Board of Commissioners have extended the contract with interim Human Services Director Dave Rooney for about three more weeks.

Rooney, who is working in place for the retired Roma Steil, will stay on until the first week of August while the search for a permanent Human Services Administrator continues.

County Administrator George Rindelaub says they wanted to keep Rooney on during this government shutdown to help make sure the department runs smoothly.

The county hopes to have a permanent Human Services leader in place sometime in August.
