Stearns County To Auction Off 400 Properties

WAITE PARK - Stearns County will be selling about 400 pieces of tax-forfeited property tomorrow (Thursday).

The auction begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Stearns County Service Center in Waite Park.  Starting bids are half of the assessed value.

Properties for sale are in St. Cloud, Sartell, St. Joseph, Avon, Cold Spring, Sauk Centre, Melrose, Rockville, Brooten, Richmond and Clearwater.  There's also an additional 200 pieces of property for sale not on the auction, which did not sell at previous auctions.  All of the properties for sale can be found on the Stearns County website.

Tax-forfeited lands are properties that have defaulted to Stearns County's ownership, after five years of not-paying property taxes.
