Stearns County Ranked 9th Richest In Minnesota
UNDATED -- Stearns County is one of the top ten richest counties in the state.
A new report indicates Stearns had a total personal income of just over $5 billion in 2009. That works out to a per capita income of just over $34,000 a year. Stearns is ranked 9th out of the state's 87 counties.
Sherburne county's total personal income was $2.7 billion in 2009, and Benton county's was $1.2 billion. Per capita income for both counties was about $31,000.
Hennepin county is the richest county in the state with a total personal income of $62.4 billion. Lake of the Woods is the poorest with a total personal income of $120 million.
