UNDATED - April showers are bringing more than just May flowers.  Much of central Minnesota has seen rainfall and high winds over the past several days.

The Stearns County Emergency Management Department says water levels are rising.  You may start seeing isolated local flooding in low-lying areas, on some roads, and on lakes and rivers. The National Weather Service indicates we may see both the Sauk River and Mississippi River rise to "action stage", which is the water level immediately preceding flood stage.

They have also received some reports of trees that have fallen, due to high winds and saturated ground.

You are reminded that it's never safe to walk or drive through flood waters.
