ST. CLOUD - Stearns county residents with an interest in severe weather can become trained weather spotters.

Stearns County Emergency Management and the National Weather Service are offering Skywarn Weather Spotter Training this week.

The sessions will be on Wednesday from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m., or from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Stearns County Emergency Operations Center. And also on Saturday from either 9:00 a.m. until noon, or from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Albany City Hall.

Weather spotters are volunteers who are activated by phone during severe weather.
