Stearns County Installs Two New Drop Boxes for Old Medications

ST. CLOUD - Stearns County has just installed two new drop boxes for unused and unwanted medications.

These sites are designed to collect prescriptions to reduce pollution in groundwater and lower the chances that they could fall into the hands of those who might abuse them.

The county has collected 875 pounds of medication so far.

The new drop spots are at the Paynesville and Melrose Police Departments. They'll be available during normal business hours.
