Stearns County Highway 2 Reconstruction Begins Monday

ST. STEPHEN -- Traveling through St. Stephen will get more difficult starting Monday.  Crews will be starting work on the County Highway 2 reconstruction project.

Detours will be posted as workers begin grinding up the existing pavement just south of County Highway 5 and working their way south.

Access to local residents and businesses will remain, however all other drivers are asked to use the detour and avoid the work zone. If you are coming from the south and need to access your home or business, you're asked to use the detour and come in from the north end.

The work is expected to last into the fall and could include a final lift of pavement being installed next year.
