ST. WENDEL TOWNSHIP -- A scary moment for a 10-year-old St. Wendel Township girl. The Stearns County Sheriff says she was sweeping her driveway Monday afternoon at about 3:30 p.m. when a man got out of a car and tried to pull her into the vehicle.

It happened on Pamela Lane about two miles north of St. Joseph.

The man grabbed the girl around the waist but she was able to escape and run into her house.

The man is described as white, with brown hair, approximately six-feet tall, 180-pounds and in his 30's. He was wearing a blue short-sleeve shirt with a blue and red Superman symbol on the front, black pants with white shoes and black laces.

The girl described the car as blue, possibly similar to an older style Chevy Lumina or Caprice.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 251-4240 or Tri-County Crimestoppers at 255-1301.
