ST. CLOUD -- The Stearns County Board of Commissioners have voted to freeze their own salaries again.

During today's (Tuesday) meeting they unanimously approved keeping their salaries at $35,500 for 2011.  This will be the third year in a row with no increase for the commissioners.

The Commissioners also voted to put the other four elected officials on the grid system for their salaries.  That means the Sheriff, Attorney, Recorder, and Auditor/Treasurer will be compensated on a pay scale, in lieu of the annual salary setting review process.

The County Attorney's salary will be going up by a little of $10,000.  The Chief Deputy Attorney's salary is increasing by about $7,000.  The Sheriff gets a $13,000 increase.  The Chief Deputy Sheriff's salary is going up by $14,000.  The County Auditor gets a $6,000 raise.  And the Recorder a $5,000 increase.
