ST. CLOUD - Marco Incorporated's plan to build a new facility ran into a road block today (Tuesday) from Stearns County.

The Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to deny a tax abatement request of nearly $1 million.

The office technology services firm was asking for the tax break to help build a $6 million 70,000 square foot facility near Interstate 94 near McStop in St. Cloud.

The St. Cloud Area School District has a public hearing on the tax abatement scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday) night, and the St. Cloud City Council is scheduled to take-up the issue on June 20th.
