Stearns County Collecting Military Letters for Special Tribute

WAITE PARK -- The Stearns County's Veterans Service Office is looking for letters  shared between service men and women and their families for a special tribute.

The Minnesota Military Family Tribute is partnering with the county Veterans Service Office throughout the state for a tribute that is the first of its kind.

The organizations are collecting letters, telgrams, and emails sent between members of the military and their families to be engraved into stone.

The stones are meant to thank military and veteran families and show they will never be forgotten.

Eighty-seven Story Stones will be arranged as part of the Tribute, representing each of the state counties.

The dedication will take place on June 13, 2015 on the grounds of the Minnesota State Capitol.

Submissions must be sent to the Stearns County Veterans Service Office by November 21st.
