State Trooper Hurt in Two Vehicle Crash

BENTON COUNTY -- A State Trooper is hurt after a two vehicle crash this (Thursday) morning.

The incident happened at around 8:30 a.m. on Highway 10.

The State Patrol says 45-year-old Daniel Orth was stopped in the left turn lane investigating a rollover. He was sitting in his squad car when a semi tractor trailer heading north on Highway 10, started to brake and the trailer swerved, hitting the front of the squad car.

Orth suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash.

The driver of the semi, 45-year-old David Stenberg of Schofield Wisconsin, had no injuries.

Icy roads are believed to be the cause of the crash.
