ST. CLOUD - A Fargo man was killed in a crash on Interstate 94 yesterday (Monday).

The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened just before 3:00 p.m. near Highway 23, south of St. Cloud.

A semi was eastbound when it jackknifed across the median, with the tractor coming to rest in the left westbound lane.  A car that was westbound went into a slide trying to avoid the semi and the driver's side door collided with the semi.

Fifty-two-year-old Terrence Cusick of Fargo was killed.  A passenger, 43-year-old Toby Cusik of Fargo had non life-threatening injuries.  The semi driver, 67-year-old James Hall of Northfield, was not hurt.

The crash closed the westbound lanes for several hours yesterday until about 6:30 p.m.

The Minnesota State Patrol says this was one of at least three fatal crashes in the state yesterday.  They also responded to over 100 crashes and 75 spinouts around the state.

St. Cloud police also issued a statement urging drivers to use caution on their evening commute, due to slippery roads in town.
