UPDATE: 1 Dead, 3 Hurt in Wright County Crash

ALBERTVILLE -- A four-car crash left one person dead and three others hurt in Wright County on Saturday afternoon.

The state patrol says the incident happened at 1:30 p.m. on I-94 near County Road 19.

Four cars were all traveling east on I-94 when a rear end collision happened.

A passenger in one of the cars, 38-year-old Erin Bateman, died at the scene.

The driver of Bateman's car, 63-year-old Douglas Bateman, and a passenger, 62-year-old Frieda Bateman, both of Winnipeg, Manitoba, have non life-threatening injuries. Another passenger, 10-year-old Elizabeth Sabourin, suffered serious injuries.

The driver of one of the other cars, 59-year-old Ronald Johnson of Red Wing, sustained non life-threatening injuries.
