ST. PAUL -- Some Minnesotans on MinnesotaCare could get vouchers for private health insurance, if a bill authored by State Representative Steve Gottwalt of St. Cloud gets passed.

The Health Minnesota Contribution Program cleared it's first committee yesterday (Wednesday).

Gottwalt says the bill would cover a group of people know as the "working poor", who often fall through the cracks.

Gottwalt says the bill passed on a bi-partisan committee vote.  It has two more committees to make it through, before going to the full House.
