ST. CLOUD -- The St. Cloud Rox baseball team have begun another season and tomorrow (Saturday) will get to play in front of their home crowd.

In just over 24 hours the empty ball park at Joe Faber Field will be full of St. Cloud Rox fans.

Vice President Scott Schriener says there is lots of planning involved when it comes to setting up not just the home opener but an entire season.

"Every little detail needs to be planned out and we have a ton of different promotions this year which we are really excited about," says Schriener.

Assistant General Manager Mike Johnson says this week has been crazy leading up to the game with printing tickets and organization the prizes for giveaways.

"We have close to 500 season ticket holders through different corporate partners and different individual families," says Johnson.

When it comes to promotions every night is different.

Kelly McCall is the Director of Marketing and Promotions and says each year they try to bring something new.

"I know this year we are bringing in ZOOperstars, it's a big event around minor league parks and is always a huge hit. That day I will get to be more of a fan for the show so that's exciting," says McCall.

Other big names the Rox are bringing in this year are former Minnesota Twin Jacque Jones (who will through out the first pitch tomorrow) and former NFL player and "Cold Cuts Legend" Ickey Woods.

"If there is somebody out there that we really want to bring in for the fans we try to make it happen," says Schreiner.

So as that first pitch draws near, it's time to grab your family, head out to the ball park and get ready for a summer that rocks.
