ST. PAUL (AP) -- Police have recovered a car stolen in St. Paul that had an 11-month-old boy inside.

The boy, Ayden Hoang, was found alive about 90 minutes later in Maplewood, more than seven miles away. Police say a resident discovered the boy in his safety seat near a garbage can and called 911.

The boy's father, Duy Hoang, says he left the boy unattended for a very short period of time while he ran inside to get a $10 coupon for Christmas shopping
Wednesday night.

He says he and the boy's mother, Crystal Schramm, saw the car down the block and they unsuccessfully tried running after it.

Police are still looking for the thief or thieves.
