ST. PAUL (AP) - Relatives say a St. Paul father did all he could to save his 4-year-old daughter from a fire that swept their house, but she could not be found in time.

Family members and fire officials say Peter Yang helped his wife and four other daughters, ages 1 to 10, to safety as the fire raged Sunday. He carried his mother from the house on his back.

Then, Yang desperately searched for his 4-year-old child. Firefighters later recovered her body from the second floor of the house.

St. Paul fire marshal Steve Zaccard says the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
