ST. PAUL (AP) - A St. Paul father has been charged with gross misdemeanor child endangerment after police say they found five unsecure guns in his home.

A criminal complaint says one of 34-year-old Billy James Wright's children called police on Jan. 12 to report her parents were fighting and were threatening each other with weapons. The complaint alleges his oldest daughter collected guns she found around the home and hid them in her room because she was afraid her parents would try to use them against each other.

Police say they found five long-barreled guns belonging to Wright and ammunition in easily accessible places throughout the home, where five children age 14 and under live.

Wright told police he and his wife had been arguing but denied weapons were involved.

It wasn't immediately known if he has an attorney yet.
