ST. CLOUD -- A new course program now offered in St. Cloud through St. Mary's University of Minnesota is designed to help busy adults wishing to further their education.

The university will be offering courses at St. Cloud Technical and Community College in healthcare management and human services. The programs are for students who already have an associate's degree and are looking to get a bachelor's degree. Todd Reinhart is the Dean of Sciences and Health Professions at St. Mary's. He says most of the students enrolling in the program are people returning to school.

"It's the perfect plan for an adult learner. I think the average age of the students in this program in Minneapolis is 37. So these are often times people who are returning to work or who have gone back to get their associate's degree as an adult."

Reinhart says anyone interested in the program will have to transfer to St. Mary's but commuting to a St. Mary's campus will not be necessary.

"They can complete this entire degree program at St. Cloud Technical and Community College right on site there on Northway Drive. They would not have to come to St. Mary's either in the Twin Cities where we have our graduate school and our schools of graduate and professionals programs nor our residential undergraduate campus in Winona. It can all be completed right there on campus in St. Cloud."
