ST. JOSEPH - St. Joseph's Park Terrace neighborhood will not undergo a 1.94 million dollar utility improvement.

The St. Joseph City Council held another public hearing on the project last night, and voted 2 to 3 against moving forward with the construction.

The project would have repaired and upgraded the neighborhood's streets and utilities.

City administrator Judy Weyrens says this doesn't mean improvements won't be made to Park Terrace.

The proposed plan would have assessed each Park Terrace property $4,500, with the remaining cost funded by a 15-year bond.
