WRIGHT COUNTY -- A St. Joseph woman is hurt after a four vehicle crash in Wright County last (Sunday) night.

The incident happened just after 6:30 p.m. along Interstate 94 near Barton Avenue.

The state patrol says 36-year-old Juan Pliego, of Minnetonka, was heading west on Interstate 94 when he stopped and pulled to the left shoulder to avoid hitting an animal in the road.

Three other vehicles (Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Impala and Ford Windstar) were traveling in the same direction.

The Impala, driven by 54-year-old Daniel Streit of St. Joseph, and the Tahoe, driven by 33-year-old Javier Saldivar of Brooklyn Park, both slowed down to avoid hitting Pliego.

Streit was then rear-ended by the Windstar, driven by 21-year-old Joseph Zobeck of Minneapolis, causing the a chain reaction with the other vehicles.

Streit's passenger, 56-year-old Mary Streit, suffered non life-threatening injuries.

No one else was hurt in the crash.
