ST. JOSEPH -- The City of St. Joseph is hosting its second community input session for the half-cent sales tax extension Monday night.

The city would like to gather ideas and suggestions for upcoming projects. The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. in City Hall located at 25 College Avenue North.

All six of the St. Cloud metro area cities will have questions on the November ballot asking their residents to extend the half-cent sales tax. If it’s approved, it’s projected to raise over $291 million over 20 years. The current half-cent sales tax has been in place since 2005, and is scheduled to expire in 2018.
