COLLEGEVILLE -- St. John's University is adding lights to it's football stadium.

Athletic Director Tom Stock announced today (Friday) a plan to have the lights installed at Clemens Stadium by next fall.

The project will be funded by the Donald McNeely Foundation.

He says the lights will improve recreational and intramural opportunities for students, and increase practice times for varsity sports teams. The lights will be shut off at 10:00 p.m., and will be used primarily in the spring and fall.

Stock says they have no plans to move any start times for SJU football games.

The lights are the latest improvements to Clemens stadium, which has been named by Sports Illustrated as one of the 10 "Dream Destinations" in all of college football.
