St. John’s Names New President

COLLEGEVILLE - St. John's University has named their next President.

Michael Hemesath was appointed the 13th President of St. John's by the university's Board of Regents.  He will begin his official duties on July 1st.

Hemeseth graduated from St. John's in 1981.

Hemeseth is a professor of economics at Carleton College.

He will be the first lay president in the 155 year history of the school.
