St. John’s Basketball Tops MN-Morris

The St. John's basketball team held off Minnesota-Morris to win 72-67 Thursday night in Collegeville.  The Johnnies built an 8-point halftime lead and held on in the 2nd half.  Seth Marx led the Johnnies with 16 points and Jack Wittenborg added 14 points for St. John's.

The Johnnies shot 50 percent while Morris shot 48 percent.  St. John's is 3-5 overall and 2-2 in the MIAC.  The Johnnies will play a non-conference game at UW-River Falls on December 29 at 5pm.
