UPDATE: St. Joseph Selects Police Chief

 

ST. JOSEPH — The St. Joseph City Council has offered the position of Police Chief to Joel Klein.

City Administrator, Judy Weyrens says the job offer is conditional. Klein is currently serving as a patrol officer for the city of St. Joseph.

The other two candidates were Sergeant Dwight Pfannenstein with the St. Joe Police Department, and sergeant Erik Lee with the Crosslake Police Department.

The St. Joe City Council gathered resident’s input from today’s community meet and greet which they used to make their final decision.

There is no word yet on whether Klein accepted the offer.
