ST. CLOUD - The Lady Slipper parking lot in downtown St. Cloud is getting a makeover, and being rebranded.

Liberty Savings Bank President Mark Bragelman says the bank is donating nearly $300,000 to install a new monument.

Bragelman says the parking lot name will also change to "Liberty Square".

Bragelman says Liberty Savings Bank is one of the oldest businesses in downtown St. Cloud, so it makes sense for them to donate to the project.

If the project is approved by the City Planning Commission and the City Council, construction will begin in the spring.

It will be completed in time for the Liberty Savings Bank Block Party on June 26th, which is returning to downtown St. Cloud. The block party has been held at Whitney Park the past several years, but construction of a new Aquatic Center meant the block party needed to find a new location.
