WAITE PARK -- The St. Cloud Youth Hockey Association is partnering with H.R. Pesty's Saloon to hold a benefit for Alyssa Lommel.

Lommel continues here recovery from severe frostbite she suffered in December after spending the night in sub-zero temperatures in Duluth.

St. Cloud Youth Hockey President Mike Petroske says they wanted to help the Lommel family who has strong ties to their program.  Petroske says three Lommel boys have come through their program and the fundraiser is a natural fit.  St. Cloud Youth Hockey holds a charitable gambling license at H.R. Pesty's and Petroske says they saw it as a way to help.

The meat raffle and silent auction will be held at H.R. Pesty's in Waite Park on Saturday from 4:00-9:00 p.m. Pesty's will also donate the proceeds from their taco special that day to the Alyssa Lommel fund.

Petroske says the money will be used to help Alyssa buy prosthetics for her hands after doctors were forced to perform some amputations.
