St. Cloud Woman Falls Asleep While Driving, Strikes A Tree

ST. CLOUD - A St. Cloud woman says she fell asleep at the wheel, causing her to crash into a tree.

St. Cloud police say the incident happened at about 1:00 p.m. yesterday (Tuesday) in the 1200 block of 9th Avenue North.

Thirty-seven-year-old Jodi Egbers has been cited for careless driving after her vehicle left the road and struck the tree, causing severe damage to her vehicle. She was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There was no evidence that she had been drinking alcohol at the time of the crash.
