ST. CLOUD -- A St. Cloud woman is hurt after crashing her vehicle into an apartment building Wednesday night.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says the incident happened shortly before 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of West St. Germain Street and Quarry Road. Twenty-eight-year-old Hawa Doll was driving south on West St. Germain Street when she tried to turn left on to Quarry Road, and stepped on the accelerator by mistake, causing her to crash into an apartment complex at 3346 West St. Germain Street.

A 60-year-old woman was in her apartment at the time of the crash but was not hurt. Doll was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Doll was cited for failing to drive with due care and violation of instructional permit since she did not have a licensed driver with her in the vehicle while she was driving.
