St. Cloud To Make Pitch To Legislature Again For Funding Of River’s Edge Convention Center
ST. CLOUD - When the Minnesota State Legislature convenes in February, one of their top priorities will be to put together a bonding bill.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) members of the Senate Capital Investment Committee will be touring projects in Central Minnesota that will be requesting money.
The city of St. Cloud will once again be asking for nearly $11.5 million to complete the expansion of the River's Edge Convention Center. The biggest part of the project is the addition of a parking ramp behind the Mexican Village. Other plans are more aesthetic on the river side, and matching the older part of the building with the new part.
The expansion opened in the fall of 2011.
