SAUK RAPIDS -- On a cold and windy night in central Minnesota, the St. Cloud Tech Tigers stood tall and defeated the Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm, 27-14.

The weather forced the game into a defensive stalemate for much of the first half.

The Tigers received a big game from sophomore tailback Devin Vouk, as he found the endzone three times and ran for 113 yards.

Chris  Backes added a 39-yard touchdown run.

Storm quarterback Matt Johnson had for 80 yards and 2 touchdowns and threw for 116 yards.

With the win, the Tigers snap a three-game losing streak improving to 2-4 and host inner-city rival St. Cloud Apollo next Friday.

Sauk Rapids-Rice remains winless on the season falling to 0-6 and will face the Sartell Sabers next Friday.
