St. Cloud Tech Nordic Ski Team Returns to State [AUDIO]

ST. CLOUD — With the focus this week being on the 2014 Winter Olypmic’s in Sochi Russia, many of us may have forgotten some winter games going on here in Minnesota.

Tomorrow (Thursday) is the State Nordic Ski Racing Meet, in Biwabik, which includes St. Cloud Tech High School.

Assistant Coach Sean Skow says the journey to state has been a great ride.

The St. Cloud Tech boys team took fourth place at last years meet.

Coach Skow says while making state is nice, a few of his racers have a chance to place high.

Ten racers (seven boys and three girls) will compete tomorrow in the 5k freestyle and classical races.

St. Cloud Tech boys team:

- Jason Combs
- Zeb Osgood
- Carter Scheele
- Noah Middlestadt
- Jack Laumb

Girls:
- Mac Dockendorft (St. Cloud Cathedral/Sartell)
- Katie Williams (Tech)
- Kaethe Schroeder (Tech)

The St. Cloud area also has one racer, Mike Hilbert, competing in the State Alpine Ski Meet which is today (Wednesday).
