ST. CLOUD - Teachers in the St. Cloud are voting on a new contract today (Tuesday).  The St. Cloud Education Association President Mary Broderick says the teachers have until tomorrow morning to cast their ballot.

There are about 800 teachers in the St. Cloud Area School District.

The school board has scheduled a special meeting at 7:15 a.m. tomorrow for the purpose of taking action on the contract, if it's passed by the teachers.

The tentative agreement does not give the teachers a salary increase for this past year, but instead gives them a one-time payment of $600,000 to be divided among the teachers.  That works out to about $750 each.  They would also get a one-percent pay raise for this coming year - their first salary increase since 2009.
