St. Cloud Switching to No-Sort, Larger Recycling Bins

ST. CLOUD – If you’re a St. Cloud resident, you won’t have to sort your recycling beginning next fall.

The city has just announced changes to the recycling program. City Maintenance Supervisor Arnie Thell says they’ll be issuing larger, 95 gallon single-sort carts in place of the smaller green bins.

Thell says, not only will people not have to sort through their recycling with the new system, but the city will be saving time and resources by picking up every other week instead of once weekly.

The new recycling system will go into effect in September of 2013.
