St. Cloud SWAT Team Takes Bronze Medal at World Games

Steven Wright

BELFAST, IRELAND – Members of the St. Cloud Police Department’s SWAT team are coming home from the World Police Fire Games in Belfast, Northern Ireland with a bronze medal.

Spokesman Marty Sayre says one of their two teams in the competition took third place, behind teams from Northern Ireland and Finland.  St. Cloud’s other team finished fourth, out of five teams.

Sayre says, “it was one of the most physically draining things they’ve ever done. And, it was misery at times.”

The competition took place last Friday through Sunday.
