ST. CLOUD - Eleven members of the St. Cloud Police Department's SWAT team are leaving on Monday for a world competition.  They're going to the 2013 World Police-Fire Games in Belfast, Ireland.

Sergeant Marty Sayre says they've been training for the event all summer long, but they won't know the specifics of the competition until they get there.

Sayre says, after winning the Gold Medal at last year's Can-Am Games in St. Cloud, they're hoping for more success on the world stage.

Sayre says they're paying for their trip through donations and fundraising.

Sayre says the opening ceremonies are on Thursday.  The SWAT team competition will be Friday through Sunday of next week.
