St. Cloud Subaru Moving Into ‘Toys R Us’ Building

ST. CLOUD - We now know what the plans are for the former "Toys R Us" location in St. Cloud.

St. Cloud Subaru has bought the building and lot, and have plans to move in later this year.  Owner Scott Bement says they'll take over the building by late February, and will start remodeling the building in March. He's hoping to have the work done, and be moved-in by mid-summer.

St. Cloud Subaru opened at their current location next to Best Buy nearly 8 1/2 years ago. Bement says the new location has almost double the lot space, and the building is nearly 7,000 square feet larger. He says their service department is expanding so rapidly that they needed more space.

St. Cloud Subaru plans to hire more people in their sales, service, and parts departments.

Bement says he's excited to stay in St. Cloud, which was one of his main goals.

Toys R Us announced last month that they were closing, due to the sale of the property. Toys R Us has been at that location since 1992.
