ST. CLOUD - The SCSU women's hockey team returned home after a six-game road trip, falling to the Ohio State Buckeyes 4-1 on Friday.

Ohio State started the scoring in the first period with a power-play goal from Taylor Kuehl. St. Cloud State would tie the game 1-1 later in the period with a goal from senior Molli Mott.

The Buckeyes stormed the Huskies in the second period however, scoring three unanswered goals for the 4-1 lead.

Ohio State outshot St. Cloud 31-24 in the action. Julie Friend collected 27 saves for the Huskies.

St. Cloud State is now 4-22-3 this year, Ohio State improves to 10-12-5 with the win. The teams will face off again at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.
