St. Cloud State Promotes Men’s Health With “Movember Mustache Challenge” [AUDIO & PHOTO]
ST. CLOUD -- In an effort to promote men's health St. Cloud State University is holding a health fair based off the popular worldwide movement "Movember."
Steve Hoover is the professor of the Department of Counseling and Community Psychology. He says the health fair is about preventing men's health issues.
Graduate Assistant Jacqueline Seddon says to help promote the many issues vendors have been set up talking about certain topics.
Along with their promoting, Student Event Coordinator Keeley Gregoire says they will be handing out fake mustaches in honor of "Movember."
Student Event Coordinator Troy Bjerchess says this event helps set up for Saturday night where after the Men's Hockey game they hope to break a Guinness World Record.
The first 4,000 people to attend Saturday's game will receive a free fake mustache to join in the event.
Hoover says he hopes to extend the health fair to not just St. Cloud State University but to the community as well.
The event goes until 3:00 p.m. this afternoon at the Atwood Memorial Center.
