ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud State University is receiving an almost $5,000,000 grant from the National Science Foundation.

Senators Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken, along with Representative Tom Emmer announced Friday SCSU will receive a total of $4.9-million to recruit, retain and support students in STEM fields.

Another aim of the grant is to help transition community college students into the four-year university.

The Senators and Representative Emmer say they're proud to support St. Cloud State, and assist more young people getting into the STEM fields. Adding it is important to keep up in the digital age.
